Arbitration Dispute: Delhi HC Restrains DB Dixon Battery From Using Images Of Shikhar Dhawan
Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has taken legal action against DB Dixon Battery Private Limited for using his images to promote their lead acid batteries without authorization.

The Delhi High Court, on Friday, restrained the company from using Dhawan’s images until the next hearing on February 18. The issue began when Dhawan signed an Endorsement with the company in 2020, which expired in January 2022.

Despite the expiration, the company allegedly continued to use his images. A new agreement was signed in July 2024, but the company failed to pay the remaining instalments. Dhawan terminated the agreement on November 28, 2024, and demanded the company to stop using his images immediately.

When the company failed to respond to this notice invoking arbitration, Dhawan filed petitions in court. Justice Subramonium Prasad issued a notice on Dhawan’s plea to appoint a Sole Arbitrator to resolve the dispute.
