Bihar news vehicle found without standard number plate in india

BDO Vehicle Found Without Standard Number Plate in Jale Assembly Area (Darbhanga, Bihar)Jale: A government vehicle reportedly assigned to the Block Development Officer (BDO) of the Jale Assembly area was seen operating without a standard registration number plate, raising questions about compliance with motor vehicle norms. The vehicle, bearing a red board marked “B.D.O Jale Assembly,” did not display a regular registration number as mandated under the Motor Vehicles Act. The incident came to light when the vehicle was spotted parked in a public area, drawing the attention of local residents and passers-by.As per traffic regulations, all vehicles— including government-owned ones—are required to display valid and clearly visible registration number plates(excluded, President of India and Governor of states). The absence of a standard number plate may amount to a violation of transport rules and could attract scrutiny from the concerned authorities.Local citizens have expressed concern over the issue, stating that government officials must strictly adhere to the law to set an example for the public. “When common people are fined for minor violations, government vehicles should also follow the same rules,” said a local resident. When contacted, officials stated that the matter would be looked into and appropriate steps would be taken if any irregularity is found. Further clarification from the district administration is awaited. The incident has once again highlighted the need for accountability and strict enforcement of traffic laws, irrespective of status or position.
