Consumer Case On BPSC to Re-Evaluate Certain questions in an exam
The Patna High Court set aside a Single Judge’s order directing the Bihar Public Service Commission to re-evaluate certain questions in an exam, ruling that re-evaluation can only be permitted in exceptional cases where a clear material error is shown.

The Court emphasized that the Commission had already made several revisions to the answer key in response to objections and had acted fairly by consulting experts and allowing candidates to voice concerns.

The Court also stressed that re-evaluation is not a right, particularly when it concerns only one candidate, and upheld the Commission’s efforts to ensure a just and thorough evaluation process. As a result, the Court directed the Commission to proceed with the selection process without the need for re-evaluation.
