MP High Court Declines Bail to Alleged ISIS Follower for Conspiring to Attack Ordnance Factory
The Madhya Pradesh High Court denied bail to a man accused of being involved with ISIS, stating that terrorism based on religion is both tragic and dangerous. The Court emphasized that such actions harm society and distort the essence of faith.

It refused to show leniency in cases involving serious terrorism charges. The accused was arrested under multiple provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Investigations revealed that he and others followed videos of Zakir Naik, an Islamic Preacher, and also expressed interest towards Jihad, created ISIS- like pamphlets, and conspired to attack an Ordnance Factory, in Jabalpur, which is an entity of defense.

Evidence included videos, documents, and digital materials supporting the allegations. While the defense argued that the accused was falsely implicated and lacked a criminal history, the court found sufficient evidence of his involvement in unlawful activities. The judges noted that terrorism threatens societal harmony and dismissed his bail appeal, highlighting the seriousness of the charges and the danger posed by such conspiracies.
