Ronaldo Targets Historic 1,000 Career Goals Before Calling Time on Football.

Dubai: Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made headlines after declaring that his ultimate goal is to reach 1,000 career goals before he considers slowing down his journey on the field.

Popularly known as CR7, the Portuguese superstar has said that he is determined to achieve the historic milestone and will not “call it a day” until he gets there.

Currently, Ronaldo has scored over 950 official career goals, making him the highest goal-scorer in the history of men’s football.

Speaking at a football awards event in Dubai, where he was named the Best Player in West Asia, the 40-year-old forward expressed confidence in his fitness and form.“I will reach that number for sure, if no injuries,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying, underlining his belief that consistency and discipline will help him continue scoring at the highest level.

Ronaldo recently scored twice for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, pushing his tally further and proving that age has not slowed him down.

His career goals include strikes for Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al-Nassr, and the Portugal national team, where he also holds the record for the most international goals in men’s football.

Interestingly, statistics show that almost half of Ronaldo’s career goals have come after he turned 30, highlighting his longevity and dedication to fitness.

Football analysts believe that if he maintains his current form, the 1,000-goal mark is well within reach.

As debates continue between fans comparing greats like Lionel Messi, Pele, and Romario, Ronaldo’s focus remains clear—rewriting football history with numbers that may remain unmatched for generations.

With the World Cup and domestic competitions ahead, all eyes are now on CR7 to see how soon he can turn his bold statement into a historic reality.
